ABOUT THE CLIENT

Family Life is an independent, innovative community service organisation in Melbourne, enabling children, young people and families to thrive in caring communities. They have been dedicated to serving vulnerable families and communities since 1970. Through effective services, support and connections, Family Life’s mission is to enable children, young people and families to thrive in caring communities.

Creating Capable Communities is a community strengthening program developed by Family Life to assist residents of high-need neighbourhoods to overcome the social barriers associated with economic disadvantage. The goal is to strengthen families by promoting wellbeing, and to improve children’s and parents’ health and wellbeing. Spotlight Productions filmed the residents involved and the parents in activities and projects, which included healthy eating and active play.

As part of the initiative, Spotlight Productions filmed footage of the children on site at Family Life and also interviewed the community manager, deputy principal and parents.

Spotlight also filmed the Supported Playgroups Initiative with parents and their children as part of the program. Spotlight Productions achieves great interview content by keeping interviewees relaxed and at east. .

The video has been used on the home page of the Family Life website and repurposed for other marketing collateral.

Spotlight Productions was hired to produce an explainer video on the Creating Capable Communities initiative at Family Life.
